Gannet Beach Tour

What a fabulous time we had today travelling along the beach towards Cape Kidnappers.  The weather was perfect, the tour guide was informative and funny, and the children were impeccable ambassadors for Haumoana School.  We learned lots about patterns in the cliffs.

The following images are just the cutest!  These two boys sat for some time peacefully taking in the sights and sharing their discoveries.

Thanks so much to Dee for her stunning images that captured all aspects of our day.  We are truly lucky to be able to experience this unique location and examples of nature.

EOTC Week - Hut making and Healthy Lunches

Although the weather didn't allow us to pitch tents, it was a grand finale to EOTC week.  We worked together to create one big hut inside to eat our lunch in.  Firstly, we worked in small groups to create a hut but soon discovered that if we pooled our resources we could make one awesome hut as a class.

It was then time to make our lunches.  Wow!  We are very creative cooks!  Our lunches were made from sugar free, commercial package free, healthy ingredients.  The presentation was fabulous and everyone worked together to create a delicious lunch!  I'll come for dinner any time!

Our hut was perfect for eating in on a rainy day.
